What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website can store in your browser to remember something about your visit — for example your settings, or how you move around the site.

Cookies on the public website

As a visitor to cortixweb.dk, we set no profiling or marketing cookies, and we don't share data with advertising networks. You are not tracked across other websites.

The only non-necessary technology we use is visitor statistics via Google Analytics — and it is only loaded if you actively say yes in the cookie banner. If you say no or ignore the banner, Google is not contacted at all, and no statistics cookie is set.

The one cookie that exists

The website has an admin area that only we use to update content. Logging in there sets a single, purely technical session cookie that keeps the login active. It isn't used to track visitors, contains no traceable information, and is never set for regular visitors — only upon an actual login.

This cookie is strictly necessary for the admin area to function, and therefore does not require consent under the Danish Cookie Order (§ 3(2)).

Google Analytics — only with your consent

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit the site, which pages they read, which country they come from, and whether they use a mobile or a computer. The purpose is solely to make the website better — we don't use it for advertising, and we don't try to identify you as a person.

Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_<measurement-id>, which contain a randomly generated id that distinguishes one browser visit from another. Both expire after 2 years. Google Analytics 4 does not store your full IP address; it is used briefly to derive the country and is then discarded.

The data processor is Google Ireland Limited, and data may be transferred to the USA under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent — section 3 of the Danish Cookie Order and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Measuring speed

We also measure how quickly the pages load for real visitors, via Vercel Speed Insights. That measurement stores nothing in your browser, sets no cookies and contains no information that can be attributed to you — it only tells us that a page was slow, not who experienced it. It therefore does not require consent, but we mention it here for the sake of good order.

How to withdraw your consent

You can change your mind at any time. At the bottom of this page you can see your current choice and change it with a single click — if you withdraw your consent, we stop the measurement immediately and at the same time delete any statistics cookies that may have been set.

You can also always block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. This doesn't affect your experience of the website, as none of its functions depend on cookies.
